Sending Love Your Way

Here's a card I made for a dear friend. We used to write each other letters all the time. Until email came along. And then it was the sporadic letter. And then I convinced her to join facebook. And it seems we forgot what pen and paper was. So now just every once in a great while we will surprise each other with a "real" letter.

I fussy cut the images using some Unity stamps from the Sending My Love set, hand colored them and then popped them with foam.

I used twine (in her fave color purple) for the movement swirl of the letter.

I'm entering this in Wee Memories Challenge #62 which calls for a Clean and Simple project.
and
In All Things Unity Challenge #35 which is to use twine or ribbon (and only Unity stamps).

My boys...a layout

A layout! I feel like I haven't made a layout in so long. I guess probably because I haven't!

This is for Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #55 which is to use this as the color inspiration:

And Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 115 to make something for Dads or grads and to stamp.

And All Things Unity #33 which is to make something manly.

I chose to scrap this photo of the boys with their dad. I think it just shows how much they love him!
I did add a little blue to the colors I chose as I just felt it needed it (sorry Kim, I won't feel bad if you disqualify me!). I just got these cute little book plates and I couldn't wait to use the. Here I framed the photo with it. I love metal embellishments!

A rubon on a tag with some twine. Mmmm, love twine!

My stamps are from Unity's current kit of the month "Think happy Thoughts". I stamped and fussy cut those flowers. I don't know why people think you can't put flowers on a "boy" project.

Not sure I'm digging this title. It came with the stamp set so I tried it. But I think I want something more to do with "Dad" rather than "Family".  I'll have to stare at it for awhile.

If only the baby was in the photo too!
