So Happy Together

Okay, I made this cute little card and it is for 4 different challenges.

First up is the Unity challenge to use birds!
Second, is Wee Memories challenge to paper piece.
Next is Here Come The Boys challenge which is Anything Goes (as long as it is suitable for a male).
Lastly, I wanted to enter the Color Throwdown challenge (I love their colors). But the problem is that their colors are pink, brown, light blue and kraft. But since this is for a male I kinda changed the pink to an orangey color. I probably shouldn't enter, but I'm gonna try anyway because some of the DT cards up on their site don't exactly match either. : )

I thought it would be nice to create a card I can give to my husband just to say I love you!
The birds and sentiment are Unity stamps from the Happyville set.

Here are the cute little pieced birds. I had to stamp them 5 times, once as the base and 4 times on each of the different papers. This is actually my first time paper piecing! I like it.

The sentiment is punched with my SU label punch, but I wanted it framed so I hand cut the kraft and brown frames behind it. Then added some I-rock bling.

 Beautiful cappuccino twine.

And the inside.

You're Invited card

This card is for the following challenges:

and
Color Throwdown #135 (black, red, cream, yellow)

The ribbon is attached with black grommets (or eyelets - I don't know the difference!)

I finally got to use my Paper Lace Cricut cartridge for this one. So many pretty images on it!

A triple challenge entry

This is a triple challenge entry! For
Color Throwdown #25 to use Pear Pizzazz, Kraft and Blushing Bride colors
Stacy's Bling on 2011 Challenge #4 at Sketches4all to use at least 3 types of bling

It was going to be a cover for a notebook, but I cut the cardstock to small and it became a cover for my planner instead:
(Okay, so this isn't Blushing Bride, but I didn't have it. But I think this pink looks nice too!)

Here is my planner before:
Just plain green.
I covered it with Kraft cardstock (punched so it fit over the spiral) and then embellished away

My homemade flower:

Happiness Always

This is for my first challenge over at Color Throwdown! I have been following that blog for almost two months now and have finally just been able to finish a challenge for them.

This is for Color Throwdown #107 which is to use the following colors:

The green background cardstock is SU pear pizzazz, the pink patterned paper is from the SU Welcome Neighbor paper pad, the yellow is probably not So Saffron, but I'm not sure what it is and the light green and rose are some scrap paper. I ran the yellow through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions folder I cut the light geen border using some craft scissors. The stamps are also SU and are from the Eastern Blooms and Whimsical Words sets.

I went over the branch with a green Glaze pen and stamped the sentiment with Cameo Coral ink from SU. The blooms are punched with one of SU's itty bitty punches and then I put a dot of Glaze pen in the centers. Then I just added two strips of pale pink ribbon on the left side.

I really am not drawn to these soft colors naturally but it seems as though I have been using them fairly frequently with these challenges and I think they are growing on me! I'm not sure I can part with this card; it is so pretty. Just know that if you get it you must be pretty special for me to have parted with it!!
