This is for Authentique's FIRST monthly challenge! The first half of the month is a sketch challenge (one each for a layout and a card) and the second half is a color combo. This is my card:

The only items that aren't Authentique are the card base, green swirl sticker and I-Rock gems.

From Authentique I used the Blissful 6x6 pad, Diction stickers and Petite Type Circle Stickers.

The lighting isn't the best in the photo. But, oh well.

I love those little alphas!

My Unity Friends with Flair Friday blog post. This might be the fastest and sloppiest card I've ever made. I {just barely} made the linky tool before it closed. Whew!

I stamped the cloud with the Sunny Happy Skies set and then covered it with white flocking powder.

Don't know if you can see the flocking or not:

 It looks so soft and fuzzy...

The baby clothes were stamped from the April 2011 KOTM Small Things Matter Most. And the patterns on the clothes are stamped with the Bitty Backgrounds stamps.

I had initially stamped a blue background on white cardstock using the diamond pattern from the April KOTM kit and it looked so good. But then the little clothes and their patterns got lost on it so I had to take them off and stick them on this plain blue card. I kinda like it. I think it still needs a little more to finish it but oh well. It's late and that was all I could manage to do in time to make the blog hop!

Teacher Survival Kits

Projects #25-#27 of 100 (I'm counting each card and box set as only 1)

So this year for teacher gifts I decided to make a Teacher Surival Kit! I've seen the idea alot but stumbled on this one on pinterest and decided to try some.

We have 2 kindergarten teachers and 1 second grade teacher. These photos are horrible. I know. I literally took them in the morning last minute as we were scrambling to get out the door. They are crooked and weirdly colored and you can see my shadow. : ) I'm sorry!

Surprisingly, the boxes in my store's jewelry and craft section didn't have customizable inserts! Really? There is a new brand in there now and you can only work with the sections they give you.

As if! : )

So I searched all over the store and found these in the fishing section. Whew. Crisis averted.

I decorated the outside with some scrapbooking supplies. The third box uses a discontinued SU scrapbooking kit and the top two have a bit of that plus some AC paper plus those fun Thickers.

For the insides I filled it with a few necessities I thought they could use including Post-Its, paper clips, push pins, binder clips, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, some energy drink mixes and chocolates!

This poor card. After I put it together I realized I should have inked the edges. So I took it apart and inked the edges and put it back together. It's barely together and looks like I let the baby play with it! Oops.

And I managed to get these to the teachers only 1 week after school started! One day, I'll have something made by the time school starts.

Project #24

This is my Unity Friends With Flair post.
I promise I'll stop making CAS on Kraft cards soon. I think. I just can't help myself. : )

I made this to send off one of my ATC cards and as a Thank You to the recipient. She enrolled in Unity's Kit of the Month club and used me as a referral since I am in the club too! Thanks, Judy!

Because of her I got to pick one $25, or less, set of my choice. : ) Gotta love free stamps.

 I used one of the KOM kits too! The May 2011 set think Happy thoughts.

I love that package of mail. I wrapped it in twine to make it even more cute.

My Summer ATC card

Projects #6-23

My craft group, Crafty Enablers, did an ATC swap with a "Summer" theme. Here's what I came up with:

18 cards. Way more work than I thought it would be! I cut, I inked, I stamped, I fussy cut, I paper-pieced, I printed and inked some more, I glued and then I stitched! Whew!

And since these each took longer than my normal greeting cards I decided to count each one in my 100 Projects Challenge (even though the other participants decided 3 ATCs would equal 1 project). They took a LOT of work so that's what I'm doing! : )

I used this wonderful sun stamp from Unity's A Pocket Full of... set and pieced it with two different papers. 

 Added some I-Rock bling:

Printed out the sentiment (which I found while going through one of my old crafty mags) on my Dymo label maker and inked it in yellow.

And I FINALLY broke out my Sew Easy tool. It was seriously still in the package. Just sitting there all lonely and unused. And now it's finally fulfilled its destiny!

I am loving getting everyone else's cards! I will post a photo when they all finally get here.

Chocolate. Enough said.

Project #5 of 100


This is for Paper Crafts August Gallery Challenge which is to make a girlfriend-themed project!

It's a small 3x3 card with......

CHOCOLATE!

I thought it might be cute to send to a friend as a little pick-me-up, attached to some real live chocolate of course!

If chocolate doesn't say girlfriend, then I don't know what does!

Projects #3 and 4

These are some cards I made quickly when I ran out of notecards.

The first is a 3x3 card using some extra die cuts I had left over.

The second is just some scrap patterned paper left over from another project and some stickers (that came from Shana in my swap box!) that matched perfectly. Easiest card ever.



Through Rain or Shine...

Project #2 of 100

Here's my entry for Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop (using Unity stamps) 

and

 Wee Memories Challenge #63 (which is to color using at least 4 colors)

I used Unity's Rain or Shine stamp set, paper-pieced and popped the umbrella, and colored in the couple (I think I used about 8 colors!).

I love the sentiment on this set. Plus, now I want some really cute turquoise rain boots too!

Cuter Than Most

project #1 of 100

This is my Unity Friends with Flair Friday post!

And (surprise!) there is no paper involved...

As soon as I saw the Cuter Than Most set at Unity I knew I had to have it and I knew I wanted to make this shirt for the babe!

I used pigment ink to stamp the image and sentiment and since I don't have pigment markers I had to use some pen nibs and my ink pads to color in the image. I heat set the ink embossing gun to help it stay. I wasn't really sure this would work but tought I'd try it anyway. If not, then I was only out one baby shirt. There's still about 23 left in the closet!

I haven't sent the shirt through the washing machine yet but I did get it wet in the sink and let it sit a bit and nothing ran.

And here is my little model who I think is cuter than most! I had to bribe him with a banana to sit still. And the shirt wasn't even completely dry yet.  : )

Yes. Definitely cuter than most!

Sending Love Your Way

Here's a card I made for a dear friend. We used to write each other letters all the time. Until email came along. And then it was the sporadic letter. And then I convinced her to join facebook. And it seems we forgot what pen and paper was. So now just every once in a great while we will surprise each other with a "real" letter.

I fussy cut the images using some Unity stamps from the Sending My Love set, hand colored them and then popped them with foam.

I used twine (in her fave color purple) for the movement swirl of the letter.

I'm entering this in Wee Memories Challenge #62 which calls for a Clean and Simple project.

In All Things Unity Challenge #35 which is to use twine or ribbon (and only Unity stamps).
