One of the Boys

The current challenge over at The Paper Girls Challenge blog is a sketch.
Here's my layout:
I used my June Simon Says Stamp card kit. I love all the Basic Grey Hipster papers. LOVE.

Here's the sketch:

I loved the papers so much I tried to squeeze on as many as I could using these banners.

And of course some ink and enamel dots were necessary. :)
The Retro Lawn Trimmings hemp cord from Lawn Fawn just matched the papers perfectly

You've got three weeks to play along this time. We extended the deadline due to the July 4th holiday. Sheryl will have a wonderful prize for a lucky winner! I hope you can join us.

It's a boy!

I finally scrapped this baby announcement that's been hanging out on my bulletin board for almost 2 1/2 years!  : /

Thanks to Heather at The Paper Girls Challenge blog for the kick. She challenged us to create a baby-themed project. This is also my entry for ScrapbookSteals MidWeek Mojo using their sketch:

This little boy is almost 2 1/2 years old and I swear he looked like this teeny tiny baby just a few weeks ago. Man, they grow so fast!

I created the bingo card and stars using Unity stamps - Life Bingo and We Treasure You. This was my first time using both stamps. I really need to ink up more stamps! I think they're starting to feel neglected : )

I just love these Amy Tan faux-stitched Thickers and had to use them for my title.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you can join us over at The Paper Girls Challenge blog for a Baby-themed challenge. There is a sweet little goody bag of crafty supplies waiting to be given away!

And come hop along on Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop for your chance to win some free stamps!

Cuter Than Most

project #1 of 100

This is my Unity Friends with Flair Friday post!
And (surprise!) there is no paper involved...

As soon as I saw the Cuter Than Most set at Unity I knew I had to have it and I knew I wanted to make this shirt for the babe!

I used pigment ink to stamp the image and sentiment and since I don't have pigment markers I had to use some pen nibs and my ink pads to color in the image. I heat set the ink embossing gun to help it stay. I wasn't really sure this would work but tought I'd try it anyway. If not, then I was only out one baby shirt. There's still about 23 left in the closet!

I haven't sent the shirt through the washing machine yet but I did get it wet in the sink and let it sit a bit and nothing ran.

And here is my little model who I think is cuter than most! I had to bribe him with a banana to sit still. And the shirt wasn't even completely dry yet.  : )

Yes. Definitely cuter than most!

Happy Friday Friends!

Mr. Destructo strikes again

I have been crafting a lot lately which means the baby is in the craft room with me more. Well, he gets bored and starts exploring. Before I know it I look down and he's undone so much!! His favorite place to play is under my desk in the drawers that hold some paper packs and my Thickers collection!

The little stinker! He's like, "Yeah, so what. I did it. And I'll do it again!"

And he loves to pull out this ribbon from a kit I've yet to work on. Maybe that means I should just finish the project already so he can't play with it!

And when he's not pulling things ot of drawers and dumping them all over the place he likes to put things in his mouth. He likes to suck on my fingertip sponge daubers (used ones with ink all over them); he's eaten labels off of my Glimmer Mist spray bottles; he's chewed on my adhesive eraser; and today I pulled an ink pad out of his mouth. Martha Stewart's Stem Green in fact. Here's proof:

Little goof ball.

7 months

Here is another layout. This is one of Colton at 7 months old. I used a sketch from ScrapbookSteals.com for MWM #27. Find the sketch HERE, I can't get blogger to upload it now.
