rainbow layout

RAINBOW is the current challenge at The Paper Girls Challenge blog. So I scrapbooked this photo I took of a rainbow a few months ago.

I used the March Mood Board from Jot Magazine and this Mid Week Mojo sketch from ScrapbookSteals.

family photos finally scrapbooked

I've had these family photos laying around for a year and a half now and am now just getting around to scrapbooking them! I decided to start playing along with ScrapbookSteals.com's challenges too.

This is from their Lilac #2 sketch:

This was Lilac #1 from last week that I never got around to photographing in time.

My goal is to play along in the whole ten-week series. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by today :)

It's a boy!

I finally scrapped this baby announcement that's been hanging out on my bulletin board for almost 2 1/2 years!  : /

Thanks to Heather at The Paper Girls Challenge blog for the kick. She challenged us to create a baby-themed project. This is also my entry for ScrapbookSteals MidWeek Mojo using their sketch:

This little boy is almost 2 1/2 years old and I swear he looked like this teeny tiny baby just a few weeks ago. Man, they grow so fast!

I created the bingo card and stars using Unity stamps - Life Bingo and We Treasure You. This was my first time using both stamps. I really need to ink up more stamps! I think they're starting to feel neglected : )

I just love these Amy Tan faux-stitched Thickers and had to use them for my title.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you can join us over at The Paper Girls Challenge blog for a Baby-themed challenge. There is a sweet little goody bag of crafty supplies waiting to be given away!

And come hop along on Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop for your chance to win some free stamps!

Getting messy

It's my turn to host again over at The Paper Girls Challenge blog!
This time I'm challenging you to "Get Messy!" Check out the post for more details.

I created a card and layout.
On my card I stamped Scripty Scripts from SP and Company and then spritzed some olive. Then I stamped Poppy Field Summer using paints. I know I can't stop stamping with paints lately!

For my layout I sprayed lots of homemade sprays (acrylic paint and water) and added glitter glue. I'm not happy that some of the bottles were spraying more in lines instead of big round splotches. : (

I love these drops I did and covered with glitter. They remind me of candy dots and I wish I would have done more of these instead of the sprays.
I will most likely take this apart and re-do the spraying or just do the drops.

The layout came from ScrapbookSteals Mid Week Mojo sketch Pearl 6.

Come on over and play with us at The Paper Girls Challenge! I'll have a nice crafty (and messy) prize to send out to some randomly selected winner!

amber, aka MOMMY!

Here's a layout I did that ended up being harder than I thought. Why? Because it was about ME!  I 've been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately of my kids' photos. And then a thought popped into my head. "How will my kids remember me?" Sure, they'll have all these scrap pages of their birthdays and first days of school, etc. But what about mom and dad?! So I decided that from now on I will also scrap myself, my husband and even just some of our day-to-day activities just so we can remember what it was like to have little ones all over the house. And so our kids will remember some fun stuff about us.

This is for Wee Memories Challenge #40 which is Free Your Creativity, which means anything goes!

I used ScrapbookSteals.com's MWM #8 Sketch:

AND, it is also for Stacy's Scrap Your Stash challenge over Sketches4All which is to make someting about yourself and to doodle on it.

I love these felt letters from Thickers.

These flowers are from the new Sizzix die from SU!, Fun Flowers.

My attempts at doodling!

p.s. Don't forget to visit the blog spa this week until Jan 29th to win some fabulous spa products. Leave a comment on my post on top to enter AND visit TwelveCraftsTillChristmas by clicking on the button at top of my blog too!

brothers

Here is a layout I did awhile back and never posted. I just wanted to share since I think the photo of the boys is so cute. Plus, it was one of my first ever layouts.

I did this with a sketch from ScrapbookSteals.com for MidWeek Mojo #1 (they are now on #26, so I'm a  little late posting!!).

The paper and embellishments are from My Mind's Eye Breaking Free kit.
Title is chipboard that I inked.

I just love the way those boys are hugging! It almost makes me forget all the other times they are fighting and kicking and biting each other. Almost.
