Stamps are from Unity's Feb 2017 Kit of the Month called Unexpected Places.
I LOVE the sentiment! It's so true.

And now I feel like I need a bunch of wintery coffee cozies.

Happy Cocoa Day

It's time for the Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop!

Today happen to be National Cocoa Day so I made this cozy little cocoa card:

Merry & Bright

Welcome to the December Unity Stamps blog hop.

I finally started working on a few Christmas cards.

I used Unity's A Joyous Season kit.
I stamped and masked the trees, embossed the snowflakes, and blended distress inks for the background. Then sprinkled some water and white spray ink.

I decided to use some distress grit-paste for the snow hills
And then finished up with some twine.

Here's the rest of the hop order:

I like coffee best of all card

Here is my third project for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:

I had fun using color burst to create the background on this card.

Then I fussy cut some leaves and the coffee cup and used that really great sentiment stamp from Verve (which I won in a previos coffee lovers blog hop!).

Thanks for visiting my blog during this hop!

pumpkin spice and everything nice

It's time for the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop!

There are dozens upon dozens of sponsors just waiting to give prizes away to those of us who link up a project this week. And many, many others are giving away prizes for commenting along the hop.

All you need to do to win is link up a coffee, tea, or hot cocoa project and/or comment on the links.

This is my first project. It has almost everything I love about fall - pumpkins, colorful leaves, cozy sweaters, and coffee!

I started with a woodgrain embossing folder.
Then I die cut some leaves out of watercolored paper.
The little cup is from Verve's Coffee Helps stamp set.
And that beautiful girl stamp is from Unity's Dream of Being set.

Thanks for stopping by and go check out some beautiful projets on the hop this week!

dear coffee

I've got one more project for the Summer Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop.
I made this bookmark for all the summer reading I plan to do.

I stamped the girl image from the dream of being set from Unity. I then watercolored around her in bright summery colors. Added a little black splatter. I stamped the sentiment from this set onto black cardstock and cut it into strips. Then some colorful twine to top it off..

I just love this sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

coffee and a friend

It's time again for another Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop! Come link up any coffee, cocoa, or tea project for your chance to win some fabulous prizes!

I made this spring-colored card using this die that I won in the last hop!
I know technically it's supposed to be a cocoa cup, but I made it into a coffee cup. WIth whipped cream. Cuz sometimes you just gotta.

Sentiment is from Unity's Kimmie Girl set.

I love that leaf-covered mug!

I'm also entering Unity's weekly challenge using this color scheme:

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you go to the Coffee Lovers blog and check out all the hundreds of projects and link up and comment for your chance to win!

latte christmas card

The Coffee Loving Cardmakers Winter blog hop is still going on and I've got one last project.

Link up any coffee, tea, or cocoa-themed paper project by the 18th for a chance at winning so many super prizes! So far I've made cocoa and tea projects. Today, I've got a coffee version!

I used a Tim Holtz iced latte stamp and colored it in with alcohol markers. I love this image. I made it a peppermint mocha by adding chocolate and peppermint sprinkles on top! Even though it's winter I still love a good iced coffee. I typed the sentiment on my typewriter. The word "latte" was stamped with a CTMH stamp set called Treats of Friendship (that I won in a previous coffee lovers hop!).

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

tea gift tag

The Coffee Loving Cardmakers Winter blog hop is still going on.

Link up any coffee, tea, or cocoa-themed paper project by the 18th for a chance at winning so many super prizes! Today (December 15th) is International Tea Day. So /i made this tea-themed gift tag:

The image and sentiment are from Unity's Tea Love set.
And I love those cozy plaid papers. They are from an old Basic Grey line called Jovial. I just want to wrap up in a blanket in that dark plaid in the middle. With a cup of hot tea. Instead I have a pile of dishes, loads of laundry, and dirty floors needing my attention. Sigh.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a cozy day!

Pretty good timing for this hop huh?!

In honor of Cocoa Day I created this cozy little card:

That mug stamp is from Unity's Our Hearts to Yours.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day.

I love the sweater cozy on the cup of cocoa. Isn't it adorable?
I'm hoping to get one for Christmas. :)

If you have time, you should come join the hop for lots of chances to win great prizes.

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, part 2

Here is my second entry for the Fall Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop!

I fell in love with this coffee cup svg file from SvgCuts a few weeks ago. I purchased it knowing I would have to make one for this blog hop.

So here it is:

This cup is made from scrapbooking paper. I got a little messy on the lid, but I'll change the blade out on my Cricut next time and use less glue! :)

From her left side:

And her right:

And the lid comes off. I'm not sure if I'll use this as a gift holder of some sort or not. Honestly, I love it so much I think I will just keep it in my craft room as decor.

The paper is an old SU pack I've been hanging on to for a few  years called Autumn Meadows. My leaves and acorn are die cut from watercolor paper and painted with a water brush and distress inks. Then I finished it off with a Simple Stories chipboard banner and a fabric flower.

I love making 3-d objects from paper!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

I made a simple little card with a stamp set that I won in the last edition of this hop! It is the Treats of Friendship set from Close to my Heart. The leaves are from a Stampin Up set called French Foliage. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Friendship Messages.

And just like me this post is short and sweet ;)

coffee thanks gift envelope

I've got one more coffee-themed project to link up to the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
I made a little gift sack just big enough to include a note and a gift card. It's always good to have these around. There's always a friend, neighbor, teacher, etc that could use one!

I used Unity's Coffee Side by Side stamp (which is on sale right now!) and colored it in with some bright summery colors using my Spectrum Noir markers.

Then just layered the image and some paper, die cuts, and twine on top of a kraft bag.

Yum. Those little cups all look so yummy.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great weekend!

Captain America birthday party

We're having a blog hop at The Paper Girls and our theme is PARTY DECOR! Leave comments along the hop for your chance to win a GREAT prize from Unity (details at end of this post)!
------------------------

It's birthday season in my household.  3/5 of my family members have a March birthday. The other 2 are in April and May. Parties are everywhere right now! We threw my husband a Sharknado party as a joke and now we're planning a Dr. Who party for my oldest this week :)

My youngest just turned 5 and wanted a Captain America party. We totally threw this together last minute and kept it simple! I used my circle dies to make shield invitation cards and matching goody bags. I made a coordinating banner and printed (and cut) some coloring sheets for kids to decorate their own shields.

Here are my DIY decor elements:

Here was our tablescape with our Avengers-themed food:

Thor's hammer sausage and cheese snacks (this was the kids' FAVORITE!):

Star and shield-shaped sandwiches:

Captain America punch. Juice and Blue Gatorade (which turns out kids think is gross):

Green and Purple Hulk grapes, Red and Yellow Iron Man tomatoes, and strawberries just because they were red and we like them!

Coloring shields which we glued on to an inverted red paper plate with a  duct tape handle:

Showing off their masks and shields!
