Here's my first project:

This was a fun tag to make using a mix of stamps from Crafters Companion, Verve, and Stampin Up.
And, of course, lots of brown inks!

Water color projects

Hi crafty friends!
I've got several water colored projects today thanks to my current watercolor challenge over at The Paper Girls.

First up is this fun layered card. I applied the water color directly to my stamp and stamped several colors onto the tag. Then I layered it over several papers and added the sequins and Epiphany Crafts epoxy.

Then I painted my background for this layout using yellow, blue, and tan. I sprinkled some salt onto the tan while it was wet to get some texture on it and rubbed it off once dry.

And lastly, I stamped this image and then used watercolor pencils and a water brush to color it in.
(psst...this card's for sale in my shop)

Thanks for stopping by today.
I really hope you will join in on the fun. I've got a prize for one lucky winner!

Paper Girls Challenge #12

Charity is the host of challenge #12 at The Paper Girls Challenge.
She challenged us to use a mesh bag (what you get when you buy a big bag of apples or onions) on our creation.

Can you find the mesh on my card? Well, technically it's not on the card. BUT - I did use the mesh as a mask to create my pink background! I used repositionable spray adhesive to attach the mesh to my card front. Then I misted some pink spray and then removed the mesh leaving a white pattern.

This card is for my 5-year-old niece so I decided to use this cute little stamp from Crafter's Companion from their Swalk collection. I colored her in with watercolor pencils and I made a bouquet of 5 flowers popped up with foam. The stem is just a skewer painted green. I had actually wanted to add some stick pin banners but it didn't fit well so I decided to turn it into a bouqet instead.

I wish the lighting was better when I took these photos - the colors look so washed out online. Oh well!

Please stop by and play with us at The Paper Girls Challenge blog! We always have a fun crafty prize to give away!

I'm entering this into Crafter's Companion current challenge which is Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks a Bunch

Today I colored up this super cute little Teddy Bear named Popcorn from Crafter's Companion.
He's from the Thanks a Bunch set.

I love those big floppy flowers he's holding!

After I mounted my image to the kraft cardbase I realized it needed a mat. So I traced around it with a black marker to give the appearance of a thin black mat.

I just tied some yellow twine to finish it off!

I'm entering this into Crafter's Companion's July Challenge which is Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by today!

For You

Here's a fun card I made for a friend:

Inspiration came from the following challenges:
Authentique sketch challenge
Crafter's Companion June challenge to use Sunshine/Yellow and their stamps
Stacy's card challenge to use pearls
Stampin Sisters in Christ to use flags or banners

Of course when I need yellow paper one of my go-to lines is Authentique's Blissful!
And I used the daisies from the Poppies and Daisies stamp set from Crafter's Companion.
I love all the bright yellow, but think the kraft paper and linen tone it down nicely.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Supply list:
SU Crumb Cake cardstock
Authentique Blissful 6x6 pad (light yellow patter, yellow gingham, and black and yellow dots)
Authentique Free Bird Fair-Weather paper (solid yellow)
Colorbok white cardstock
Poppies and Daisies stamp from Sheena Douglass
SU linen thread
Divine twine - black
Twinery twine - yellow
Kaisercraft pearls
