GIU Day 1

Hello everyone! I am the Growing in Unity girl this week at Unity stamps. Each day I'll post a project using their stamps and at the end of the week I will draw 2 names from all the comments you leave and those winners will receive a package of stamps!

I am hosting book club in a couple months so I decided I would create bookmarks to hand out to the ladies. And for some reason, I also decided that each day I would use one stampset in 2 different ways/styles. For today I used Imperfection is Beauty.

The first tag is a simple watercolored tag.

I did a little fussy cutting to get a 3D flower:

And for the second tag, I used a more mixed media style for it.

Both are very pretty. Showing how different the stamp can look depending on the technique is a great idea.

I just love seeing how one stamp can be used in such different ways to get totally different looks! Your book club ladies are sooooo blessed to have you for a friend!

Two great takes! Your backgrounds have lovely texture, and each sets this simple lines stamp off very well!

I can not believe you don't craft anymore! You are so talented … one of my favorite artists!! Well, I am so happy to see you crafting just for Unity at least. Both tags are just beautiful. I love the 3-D effect.

I’ve been making tags for my girlfriends and your ideas on using one stamp set two ways is intriguing to me. Bookmarks would be a good idea also. I love what you’ve done and that each looks so different from the other. Looking forward to the next few days projects. Thank you for sharing your talents.
