Hello, Grandma!

This week for my SP and Company design team post I've got another casrd using the Hello, World Baby Announcement stamp builder set.

And once again I didn't make a baby announcement!

I just used some scrap and made hanging banners in the background and curved the ends out.
Added a die-cut frame and stamped my sentiment.
And 3 little I-rock stones finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the SP blog for more stamping ideas!

Season's Greetings

It's time for another challenge over at The Paper Girls!
It's my turn to host again and I chose a Christmas/winter challenge.

I've got a Christmas card to show today:

I pulled out my Spectrum Noir markers from Crafters Companion and did some alcohol ink coloring!
Nothing fancy - just quick and simple!

This image is from Unity's March 2012 Kit of the Month.
I mounted the image onto red cardstock and then on a vanilla card base.
I added a little twine and a combo of sentiments from SP and Company.

I hope you will come join us in this challenge! I'm sure you have at least one Christmas or winter-themed project already in the works!

As always we have a prize up for grabs! Let's just say it involves some stamps, washi tape, and maybe a little paper!

Supplies:
Spectrum Noir markers
SU Very Vanilla cardstock

It's a boy!

For my weekly SP and Company DT post I've got a little baby boy card!

I stamped and fussy cut the banner from the new Hello, World! Baby Announcement builder stamp set. Then I stamped the sentiment inside the banner.

I framed it out with several different colors and patterns of paper to really make it pop.

Then I finished it off with some of this gorgeous Orange Chevron Stripe twill ribbon also from SP.

I think this might be my new go-to baby card design from now on. I think it's so much fun!

Make sure you visit the SP blog for more stamping ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

-----------------------------------

Welcome to my stop on the blog hop! The first stamp set I worked with was Hello, World! Baby Announcements. Although this set is fantastic for making baby announcements, I just loved that great big "Hello" sentiment! It seemed so fun and festive so I had to use it in a bright card for a friend:

I sprayed some teal paint, made a few washi tape banners to hang, stamped the sentiment, and rounded one corner.

The other set I worked with was Happy Mail.
So of course I had to make a matching envelope for this card!
I simply added a strip of washi and then stamped right above it.

I've never stamped my envelop before but I like it! I think I may be putting this on all my mail from now on  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt thanks

I never use purple. It's just not my color. But they are the colors over at The Playdate Cafe so I thought I'd take a stab at it.
BTW, I'll totally believe people now when they say purple doesn't photograph well. They look so harsh in these photos. Sorry.

These are the inspiration colors:

I'm also playing along with Thanks themes at Stampin Sisters in Christ and The Paper Girls Challenge blog.

I used the Unity stamp set Dutch Mustard Soup

And as a play on the sentiment I cut out a felt heart. Get it??
:)

A couple strips of washi, a stitched on felt heart, and a nice little sentiment.
Simple.
And I like it.
Still not my fave colors.
:)

If you've got some time time you should check out Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop. Comment. Win stuff. Easy peasy.

Sweetest Holiday Wishes

Hi folks! This is my last project using SP and Company's October release Winter Pocket Fillers.
On the 10th we are releasing the new stamp sets for November! So make sure you come back for the blog hop and your chance to win!

Now back to this card.
The background is from Echo Park's This & That Charming 6x6 pad and the green chevron paper is from the SP September Monthly Kit and is EP This & That Christmas.
The candy canes, sentiment, and holly are all from Winter Pocket Fillers.
This set is meant to coordinate with the pocket from the All Zipped Up set, but you can see that it can be use alone as well.

I just added some twine and olive and red washi tapes from my stash to finish it off.

Now I've got about 2 Christmas cards done and only a bajillionty to go!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Give Thanks

It's time for Challenge #19 at The Paper Girls Challenge blog. This time Charity challenged us to make Thankful projects. I made this "Give Thanks" banner:
I used kraft paper, an old SU line called Autumn Meadows, Authentique Splendid, cork, and woodgrain adhesive paper.

The lighting wasn't very good so you can't see the yellow letters very well against the patterned papers.

Some up close pics:

I love that this is a little remioinder to always be thankful.

I hope you can link up some Thankful projects including layouts, cards, or other items for your chance to win a crafty little prize from The Paper Girls!
