you are amazing

I've got another card to share today:
I used some gelatos on watercolor paper to create the card panel and the tag.

I went to fetch my "you" die and realized I had never opened the package. Since that makes it new to me I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday monthly challenge to use something new! And technically the enamel dots were in an unopened package. I also used my new PITT pen too which I just bought!

happy birthday!

These little beauties were made with the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for July.
I kept them nice and simple. Stamped the background and then added the cupcakes. The cupcakes took a little time. It is a 4-step process to stamp these things. See stamp here.
I just fussy-cut them and added them with foam adhesive.
Another color variation:
I made about a dozen of these to have on hand. I thought they would work great for an adult or a kid's birthday.

Itty Bitty Challenge

So...over at facebook I'm in this Unity Stamps group called Unity {show & tell}. Well someone issued a challenge to create one card or tag everyday using an Itty Bitty Unity stamp. So I decided to join in the fun!

 Day 1 card:
I used Direction of Your Heart stamp for this one. I layered some Studio Calico Abroad papers, a couple washi strips, a tag, and a piece of epoxy from Epiphany Crafts.

Day 2 card:
I really like this one. I used Direction of Happy stamp right on top of a WRMK Albums Made Easy journaling tag. Added another Epiphany Crafts epoxy and gold mini sequins. Layered over a doily, some MME papers, and Mr. Huey's mist in Passport.

Day 3 card:
I used some Colorbok papers as my base layer, fussy cut the LIFE bingo card stamp, added some Offray lace ribbon and a SU die-cut doily, fussy-cut butterfly, and the sentiment is a stamp from a Unity KOM that I can't remember right now.

It's been challenging creating every single day. But it's been fun!

Adventure

I'm not exactly sure what I'd use this card for - maybe wishing someone well as they leave on a trip??
Yes.
That's it!
Now.....just waiting on someone to take off on an adventure!
I stamped a script background on the gray panel. But then realized it was too bold. So I smeared some gesso over it to mute it down. Then I sprayed the black and blue mists, stamped the sign and suitcases and added some fussy-cut pieces to the sign. I put a strip of travel washi tape on the left of my panel and tied some twine.

love is all you need

The current challenge over at The Paper Girls challenge blog is to use rain, umbrellas, and/or flowers. So I made this card that I wanted to make look black and white with just a pop of color.
First I stamped this great image from Unity Stamp Co.
I spritzed some mist (masking my stamped image first) to make my rain.
I colored the couple using only gray shades of alcohol markers.
Then I used bright colors for the umbrella.

A little coordinating twine and a simple sentiment from this set.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pull out your paints!

For my SP and Company stamps post this week I pulled out my paints!

I made my own spray with just paint and water.
I like it really paint-y and opaque so I used about equal parts paint and water, maybe a little more paint. If you look at the bottle below the dark on the bottom of the bottle is paint and the lighter top portion is the water. I found that the Mini Mister bottle gave it more of a flicked or splotchy look versus the finer spray of the travel bottle, but they were both really good.
Just shake this up and you're ready to go.
I sprayed my pink paper (all my paper is from Authentique's Splendid line) with the lime paint. Then after it was dry, I used chocolate brown paint to stamp the flower image from Poppy Field Summer. I just put the brown paint on a flat surface and press the stamp into it. I like to stamp off on scrap paper first and then touch up spots with my finger before stamping on my project. This helps to avoid a really messy and splotchy look. You know, versus this only somewhat splotchy look I have!
The gloss finish of the green paint gave it a really fun look on the card.
Next, I used Fashionista Alphabet to stamp my sentiment onto raspberry cardstock.
I then cut banners from it and more Splendid paper (the plaid and green herringbone).

Do you recognize the layout of this card? It's from the card I posted on Friday. I just loved it so much that I had to re-create it again!

The color inspiration for this card is from Authentique's current color challenge which is to use Pink Lemonade, raspberry, Kiwi, and Chocolate.

I'm also entering this into Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge which is to Paint it Up!
