The Paper Girls blog hop

Welcome to my stop on The Paper Girls Challenge blog hop!
I hope you are enjoying all the altered projects.

My post is brought to you today by the letter S!

Originally, this was a plain, boring wooden letter:
I painted it a fun golden mustard color.
Attached grey twine around the perimeter.
And wrapped some natural twine around a couple spots.

Then came embellishing.
On this bottom cluster I used an old SU paper pack called Autumn Meadows to fussy cut the leaves.
The Family bingo card is cut from Authentique's Splendid paper line.
The acorn I handmade with cork and paper (from EP's This & That Charming 6x6).

On this middle cluster I fussy cut leaves and acorns using the Crafters Companion stamp set called Autumn Leaves from the A Little Bit Sketchy line. I'm also entering this into their monthly challenge which is to use fall colors.

And finally, I added some floating wooden hearts cut from shelf/drawer liner (similar to contact paper)! I love that stuff - works just like vinyl but is much cheaper.

My plan is to place this on my fall-themed mantel. Hopefully I'll have it all finished next week to show you.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Wow...I think I may do something like this with the initials of each of my girls' first names...fabulous ideas (and then I can use some of that twine you so generously sent my way).

Lovely! The cluster with the Bingo card and acorn is probably my favorite but the twines are fantastic too.
